The second single released by Old Man Trying to be Cool Poorly is “Stay Away”. The upbeat ukulele and poppy bass groove lead the listener towards brighter days. But, overlapping vocals delivering lyrics of irritation and ending relationships and the friendships that often follow. The twist of the ukulele tone and sound that is often used to portray optimism and happiness is being used here as the backdrop to misery and shutting out others is a welcome uniqueness.
