Norwich, UK Melodic Punk Rock band I Said Goodbye has released the first single, “Medium”, off of their upcoming independently released second album “History” due in October. “Medium” is a relatively fast paced, emotionally charged song that gives a solid message of having a positive attitude towards dealing with the negative aspects that come up in life. The song is singable after as little as two listens and is easy to follow with MXPX sounding vocals. The standout lyric “ So what’s the point, if you can’t laugh along the way?” really cements home the point of not dwelling on things. The video is a classic performance style video that gives a great look into the live show environment, and closes with a heartfelt “Thank you” and plug for the album pre-order. This single is just a sample of what seems to be a great upcoming album. For fans of The Menzingers and Motion City Soundtrack.
I Said Goodbye is releasing “History” independently for its October, 2019 release. A Kickstarter campaign has been started, designed as a pre-order to fund the album with several options and perks ranging from early digital release, to a limited edition white vinyl, to an at home acoustic performance of the album, for mainland UK residents. “We couldn’t be more proud of the this record as a body of work and its super exciting to be releasing it DIY as we have total control over how we do it!” states lead vocalist and guitarist Alan Hiom. The Kickstarter/Pre-order has a goal date of October 18 2019.
