Santa Fe, New Mexico’s Native Reggae Rock band Innastate spread positivity with a much needed creative voice.
The new single “Seeds” from Native Reggae Rock band Innastate has been making its rounds. The first new music since the COVID-19 pandemic hit the US for Innastate, sends a message of hope. While officially released January 7th, “Seeds” has been apart of the Innastate live set for almost a year, and has been played for various (mostly virtual) events. The accompanying video was produced in collaboration with AMP Concerts and Falling Colors Foundation. It was filmed at the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA) Museum of Contemporary Native Arts(MOCNA), and features the Indigenous Futurisms exhibit.
Throughout the self-isolation brought on by the pandemic, Innastate has been keeping busy writing new music that will become the follow up album to their 2018 release Verde. While embracing social distancing guidelines, “Seeds” was recorded using home studios and utilized audio professionals working remotely. “Seeds” is an upbeat, and uplifting song. It features classic Reggae guitar playing and an awesome bass groove. The vocals bring in a modern flavor; and the lead guitar soloing and horn section tie in the bands Southwestern roots.
With “Seeds”, and more music moving forward, Innastate keeps the positive and wholesome vibes flowing. They ultimately aspire to bring communities together, promote positive thinking and unity, all through the power of music. “Seeds” is available on major streaming platforms. Watch the video below!
