Structure Violence by Structure Violence

Fortaleza, Brazil’s Structure Violence released “Structure Violence” on April 26th, 2019 with Electric Funeral Records.

This four song E.P delivers a straight forward classic thrash metal assault. With the cover, the Stephen King book “The Dark Tower” comes to mind. It is dark, abysmal, and foreboding. “Ever More” begins with a bluesy, mellow intro that fades into a solid thrash riff that never lets up, and sets the pace for the rest of the E.P. The pedal is pushed to the floor and never let back up. “Structure Violence” is a prime example of classic thrash being a main influence and would fit into any 80’s/90’s thrash/crossover playlist perfectly. The heaviest song of the E.P., “Shepherd’s Head” has a bit of a death metal feel to it, and is equally lyrically violent. If there isn’t already, “Shepherd’s Head” will definitely get some headbanging going. The closer of the E.P.“The Tower is a much darker song than the rest. It is a little slower, a little heavier, and would be great with dark imagery accompaniment as either a music video or backing video for a live performance. The cover fits this song amazingly. Structure Violence is a band not to be missed for any fan of thrash, and this E.P. is a great example as to why.
