The Writhers are all set with the release of their newest single “Spend The Night”. This song has been reworked from an earlier take, and joins a series of upcoming singles not released anywhere! Mike Kamoo at Earthling Studios mixed and mastered the track, and this is his first release.
“Spend The Night” opens with the ever ghoulish Robert Writhe asking “What are you doin’ tonight?”. It is immediately backed by the insane bass playing of Kenny Wolfsbane. As Kenny lays down the groove to Rikk R Treat’s crashing rhythm, Robert’s amped up vocals deliver the dare of spending the night in a haunted house in a way we have come to expect from The Writhers. What is unexpected is the fuller sound of the guitar playing of Chewy Morsel. It has more grit than the previous releases, but did not lose the “B-Movie presented by The Cramps” feel The Writhers are known and loved for. All around “Spend The Night” delivers the established sound of The Writhers, while also bringing in new elements that spark more than interest in what comes next!
