One Man “Prophetic Doom” project Markarian, led by Prophet Zerhathos, has released “We Are The Prophets”, a single from the upcoming album Event Horizon. Writing, recording, production, and distribution have all been handled by Prophet Zerhathos, with the exception of some assistance on bass recording for the album. “We Are The Prophets” starts strong and remains steady with its Cosmic Occult sound, and in traditional doom metal fashion, the guitar riffs are at the forefront. It has a heavy, fuzzy rhythm and a smooth, astral lead. Lyrically, the black hole is treated as the all being omniscient entity, that is to be feared, respected, and embraced. Markarian has the goal for its listeners to “break free from the herd”, and to see that “to become wolf among sheep is the path to salvation.” Event Horizon is in the mixing and post-production process and is set for a late 2019 release.
